At koopon, we want to connect people through our online platforms and bring communities together. In this privacy policy, we tell you what information we receive from koopon customers and merchants, and how we use it to connect consumers with businesses and continue to improve our services. koopon (“koopon,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) values the privacy of individuals who use our application, websites, and related services (collectively, the “koopon Platform”). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and share information from koopon users (“Users”), comprised of both koopon customers (“Customers”) and koopon merchants (including Merchant applicants) (“Merchants”). Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of koopon is also subject to our Terms of Service (www.koopon.com/terms).

 

2. Information We Collect

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing and billing address, phone number and/or other details to help you with your experience.

For merchants, we additionally collect their direct deposit information and business information such as contact person’s name, email, phone number and/or other business data.

 

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, contact Support, enter information on our site or provide us with feedback on our products or services. 

 

4. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

10. Your Choices

Users can visit our site anonymously. To access certain information, purchase any item or input any data you need to create a koopon account.

Email Subscriptions: You can always unsubscribe from our commercial or promotional emails but we will still send you transactional and relational emails about your account use of the koopon Platform. You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.

Editing and Accessing Your Information: You can review and edit certain account information by logging in to your account settings (Merchants need to contact us to change any information related to the merchant account). If would like to terminate your koopon account, please contact us through our Help Center with your request. If you choose to terminate your account, we will deactivate it for you but may retain information from your account for a certain period of time and disclose it in a manner consistent with our practices under this Privacy Policy for accounts that are not closed. We also may retain information from your account to collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, analyze usage of the koopon Platform, assist with any investigations, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, or take other actions as required or permitted by law.

 

11. How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

We honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

If we make any material changes, we will let you know through the Koopon Platform, by email, or other communication. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy periodically to stay up-to-date about our privacy practices. As long as you use the Koopon Platform, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy and any updates we make to it.
